On Saturday night (12/18) Amalie Arena in Tampa, FL was buzzing as the location of the highly anticipated Jake Paul vs. Tyron Woodley fight. Originally the fight was set between Paul and Tommy Fury, but after pulling out for medical reasons in November, the fight became a rematch from an earlier fight in August between Paul and Woodley. According to a press release from Amalie Arena, event was slated to be highest-grossing and most-attended “combat sports event” ever at venue. This was going to be something the Tampa Bay Area had ever seen and it was all going to be broadcast on Showtime.
To start the main event, Jake Paul made his entrance to “YMCA” by the Village People.

Jake Paul won with single punch knockout 2:12 into the sixth round. This makes Paul 2-0 versus Woodley.
Also on the bill was a fight between Frank Gore and Deron Williams. By a spirit decision, Williams came out on top. Earlier in the Amanda Serrano beat challenger Miriam Gutierrez. Lastly, Liam Paro defeated Yomar Alamo.
Jake Paul started a YouTube channel in 2014 which made him an online star and got him on the Disney Channel series Bizaardvark. Once he left the show he launched a music career. In 2020 Paul launched his boxing career. As of the conclusion of the rematch against Woodley in Tampa, Paul is 5-0 in his professional being career – four by knockout and one by decision.
