A Tampa native who attended Jefferson High School, Mr. Prieto received an Associate of Arts Degree from St. Petersburg Junior College in 1965, a Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of Tampa in 1968, and a Juris Doctor Degree from South Texas College of Law in 1972.
Mr. Prieto worked as a State Prosecutor for Hillsborough under E.J. Salcines. Subsequent to his tenure as a prosecutor, Mr. Prieto started his private practice focusing on Domestic Relations, Civil Litigation, and Criminal Defense.
Mr. Prieto is admitted and qualified as an attorney before The Florida Bar, U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida, U.S. Court of Appeals for the 5th Circuit, U.S. Court of Appeals for the 11th Circuit, and the Supreme Court of the United States of America. Further, Mr. Prieto is a member of the American Bar Association, Academy of Florida Trial Lawyers, and the Hillsborough County Bar.
