Breeze Airways Launches Direct Service From Tampa to Nassau

Tampa International Airport rolled out a new route on Breeze Airways connecting Tampa to Nassau, Bahamas. Flights run twice weekly starting June 11. The carrier operates on Thursdays and Sundays to the capital.

Breeze Airways advertises one-way tickets at $99. That's their intro price. They want travelers booking seats fast while building interest in this fresh connection.

"Nassau is the kind of place that makes it easy to slow down and enjoy being somewhere warm and bright," Breeze Airways said, according to That's So Tampa. "Clear water, walkable historic streets, and comfortable resorts all come together in one easy-to-navigate island capital."

The airline pitched Nassau as perfect for beach trips that pack in activities too, saying the spot works for quick escapes, trips with kids, or breaks from winter chill.

Nassau delivers snorkeling, boat excursions, and trails through wild spaces. The Pirate Museum sits downtown alongside the National Art Gallery and Queen's Staircase for anyone chasing stories from the past or art.

Atlantis Resort pulls in crowds year-round. The sprawling property boasts a massive water park, tables for blackjack and roulette, plus restaurants serving everything from burgers to fine dining. A quick ferry zips visitors over to Paradise Island where Atlantis towers above the shoreline.

Smart travelers book cheaper hotels in Nassau proper, then spend a day wandering through Atlantis. This move saves cash while still delivering access to the water slides, aquariums, and beachfront at the famous resort.

Tampa shivers through cold temps this weekend, with readings dipping close to records. The announcement gives locals a ticket out during this unusual freeze.
