Tampa Area Offers Holiday Events, Concerts, and Markets Through December

More than a dozen holiday happenings will fill Tampa and nearby towns from Nov. 27 through December's end. Visitors can enjoy light shows, markets, concerts, and activities at various spots.

Tampa Bay's Festival of Lights and Santa's Village

Tampa Bay's Festival of Lights and Santa's Village kicks off Nov. 27 at Hillsborough County Fairgrounds in Dover. Runs 6-11 p.m. until Dec. 28. The setup includes a nearly 2-mile drive-thru with lights, then guests walk around Santa's Village. Paws & Claus Nights happen Dec. 4 and Dec. 11 — bring your dogs or cats on a leash. Heroes Night on Dec. 18 offers discounted admission at $15 per car for active and retired military, police, fire, and first responders. Regular nights run $25-$30. More information.

Christmas in the Wild

ZooTampa becomes Christmas in the Wild on select nights from Nov. 28 through Dec. 30, operating 4-10 p.m. The site at 1101 W. Sligh Ave. will showcase over a million lights, glowing animal sculptures, entertainment, and food. Check zootampa.org for details.

Winter Village

Winter Village takes over Curtis Hixon Park at 600 N. Ashley Drive from Nov. 27 through Jan. 4. Expect the Tampa Bay Ice Show, River of Lights cruise, silent disco Fridays, trivia Wednesdays, themed skate nights, and more on select dates. See the event schedule.

Busch Gardens Tampa Bay's Christmas Town

Busch Gardens Tampa Bay's Christmas Town starts Nov. 27 at 10165 McKinley Drive and runs until Jan. 5. This year brings a holiday drone show and a light-and-music display across the Serengeti Plain. Santa's North Pole Experience and Rudolph's Winter Wonderland come back too.

Danny Davis and the Nashville Brass

The New Tampa Performing Arts Center at 8550 Hunters Village Road presents Danny Davis and the Nashville Brass on Nov. 30 from 3-6 p.m. Tickets are $20-$27.50. Purchase tickets.

The Ybor City Saturday Market

Markets pop up around town. The Ybor City Saturday Market happens Nov. 29 from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. at Centennial Park, 1800 E. Eighth Ave. The Mayor's Food Truck Fiesta rolls in Dec. 3 from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. at Lykes Gaslight Square Park, 241-263 E Madison St. Vendors include Mom's Taco, I WANNA WOK, The Oreo Lady, The Melt Machine, and Wheelin N Grillin.

Rock The Park

Curtis Hixon Waterfront Park at 600 N. Ashley Drive brings back Rock The Park on Dec. 4 from 6:30-9:45 p.m. The free concert series enters its 15th year. Local food trucks will be there. Concert details.

A Christmas Carol

The Carrollwood Players will stage A Christmas Carol at 4333 Gunn Highway from Dec. 5-21. Shows start at 8 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays, with matinee performances also available. Tickets are $24-$27. Buy tickets.
