An empty gas station at 2000 Bayshore Blvd. in Dunedin is set to transform into a new restaurant serving steak and sushi. This project marks a significant change for a location that's been unused on a bustling stretch of Bayshore Blvd. for some time.

Jason Mickool, a local developer and CEO of Florida Financial Advisors, is spearheading the effort. Mickool brings over 30 years of experience in financial planning and business ventures. His work is notable in Florida, driving fresh ideas and investments in the community.

Currently, the only steakhouse in Dunedin is in the Fenway Hotel. Mickool sees a need for more eating spots that combine excellent meals with a pleasant environment. This project reflects changes in Dunedin’s food scene and the city's rising popularity among those seeking quality dining experiences.

Bigtime Design, renowned for its outstanding hospitality projects, crafted the initial interiors for the proposed eatery. These plans suggest an elegant setting, promising a unique dining adventure.

Mickool founded Florida Financial Advisors in 2017. His earlier roles with American Express Advisors and New England Financial solidified his reputation for initiatives catering to local needs. This venture marks his latest step into Dunedin’s business landscape.

Bayshore Blvd. has experienced a wave of redevelopment. Many old commercial spots have turned into popular destinations for dining and shopping, aiding Dunedin’s ongoing urban revival. This project follows the trend of reinvention, breathing new life into previously unused areas.

Under Mickool’s leadership, Florida Financial Advisors has expanded to multiple states. Yet, his focus remains on Tampa Bay projects, showing both personal and professional dedication to the region’s growth.

The upcoming restaurant aims to attract a broad audience by offering both steak and sushi. This strategy follows national trends of mixed, upscale dining venues and addresses a gap in the local market.
