La principal promotora del principal concurso de belleza en México, Lupita Jones se encuentra en medio de la polémica ya que después de las declaraciones que hizo al respecto de la participación de Miss España (una mujer transgénero) en el próximo concurso de Miss Universo, una activista transgénero en México grabó un video dedicado a Lupita Jones y después se quitó la vida.
